Building a new house is an exciting yet daunting task. Lots of moving parts happen before we even break ground. At least for the construction phases, Innozign Contracting provides streamline processes to efficiently manage this project type.
Consists of either a full demolition of an existing structure or excavation of new land resulting in building a custom home from the ground up. For all new construction projects, the foundation is were it starts whether it's a slab, crawl space or full basement. Once determined, we begin the process of building to specs of the blueprint.
This project type consist of tearing down all or a majority of a house and building a new custom house on the existing foundation. Expansion of the foundation can be added to the existing foundation to enlarge the homes footprint. Once the foundation is sound, the custom home follows the same process as if it was new construction.
Bringing in gas, water, electric are the three main utilities. Water for instance may come from your municipality or from a well installed on your property.
When building a custom home, set aside a budget for landscaping. Many options to consider for instance; grass seed or sod, planting trees, walkways, etc...
Sewer pipes are a form of utility which can be connected to your local municipalities sewer system or in some cases, connected to an inground septic system on the property.
Most new homes will have a driveway. General install options include asphalt, concrete, pebbles/rocks, pavers. Blend them if you choose. Consider lining the driveway with Belgium blocks.
Your choice of finishings will create the look you are trying achieve. We will provide our contacts for showrooms and online stores to help with your choices along with professional recommendations.
We work closely with the architect to ensure specific details in the blueprint including being in compliance with required building codes. No stone is left unturned before the start and during the progress of these projects. The systems and phases put in place require a lot of work which in turn allows the project operate smoothly and timely.
Length of time for building a custom home completely depends on the scope of work presented. Some cases, it could be 8 months and in others over a year. It depends. Our goal is to build strategically, professionally, ensure good quality and minimize any issue that may impact the schedule. How fast the project moves will depend on a few factors which will be discussed.
Expect many detailed discussions and meetings throughout the project. Keeping the line of communication open is essential to the success of this process. For most, we understand this will be the first time undergoing a project of this nature.
